Background
Personality
Mythra's personality traits are... really something, as most of her traits have positive and negative aspects in tandem. She's honest to a fault, making her blunt and oftentimes quite rude. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that she invites the lack of respect she gets from others, actually, but once she has time to open up a little and lets people into her life she can be more than kind to them.
When she opens up she can even use her blunt nature to tell people what they need to hear. Mòrag can be hard to approach due to how formal she acts, but Mythra blunty tells her 'give me a break' and that she needs to talk to her brother normally, Emperor or not. The same gentle nature comes out when talking to Poppi where they share their worries about being constructed as dangerous weapons. Mythra also trusts her with the fact that she's planning to sacrifice herself.
Between her 500 year nap Mythra's personality shows a clear change. Before she was more overconfident, swinging her sword and throwing her weight as the Aegis around to get her way without much, or any, concern for the damage she might cause. This part of her went away after accidentally killing the Torna Titan and in the present day setting of the game Mythra is more collected and careful with her powers, refusing to use it indoors or targeting blades over drivers. Her wish to die before accidentally destroying the world comes from this part of her. The amount of power she carries scares her and is why Pyra is far weaker than she is.
One of her biggest weaknesses is her competitive nature. It seems like she can be easily goaded into competition by having her abilities questioned even if it's obvious she won't win... which pairs nicely with a cooking contest and her other weakness; nearly lethal cooking. That competitive streak of hers, along with her smug smug smug nature, is responsible for her lack of respect towards other blades. She's the Aegis and she'll remind people of it every chance she gets. The only blades she respects on the power side of things are the incredibly strong Zenobia and Mòrag's blade and her traveling companion from 500 years ago; Brighid... but even then she makes sure to clarify that Brighid hasn't once bested her in a sparring match. The one time she did absolutely did not count, according to Mythra. She also seems to respect Nia, another Driver on the team, because even after she just woke up she finds out about Nia's secret (she isn't a normal person but is in fact part blade), Mythra offers to keep her mouth shut without complaint.
I mentioned it before but Mythra's suicidal tendencies and depression come from her failings in the past but all of the Aegises seem to carry the same self loathing, depressive outlook. This is why both she and Pyra want to die at Elysium and why she has Poppi promise not to help Rex and the others save her at the very end.
Lastly, her feelings towards Rex were implied to be on the same level as her feelings towards Addam, though this aspect of her character was absent when she was finally shown with Addam during the prequel story. Instead of a romantic interest she was shown viewing him as an older brother or father figure since she was supportive of his happily married life. Plenty of her interactions with him had her making a fool of herself and acting almost like a daughter, getting scolded or humoured or told to calm down. She seemed to genuinely care for Addam though, which was a rare thing for her back then. As for Rex? Her feelings towards him are implied but never stated outright.
Oh wait, on the lighter, wackier JRPG side of things? Mythra is a terrible sleeper. She snores, drools, sleepwalks into people's beds and is generally unpleasant when she wakes up.
And on the gameplay mechanics side she is a lover of Arts and Desserts.

Canon Point: Post Game
Age: Apparent age is mid 20s, actual age is hundreds of years old.
Background
- Long ago the previous world was destroyed and a new world was remade in its image. That world was Alrest, where Mythra comes from.
- Blades were created and pieces of the system used to remake the world were repurposed into the Aegisis and were used to relay information. The place they were kept was known as Elysium at the top of a massive structure called the World Tree.
- Eons later Amalthus, a being from below the tree with great hatred for the world, climbed up and found nothing save for two Aegis crystals, so he took them as proof
- Amalthus awoke the first Aegis, Malos, and his hatred for the world was given to his new blade who went on to try and destroy the world due to his hatred.
- Amalthus searched for someone to awaken the remaining crystal and eventually found Addam to do it.
- Mythra traveled with Addam and other companions to stop Malos and eventually did so but not without the loss of countless lives and even three Titans (countries)
- Mythra, distraught at the destruction she caused and the danger she posed, created a new personality (Pyra) to seal herself away and both of them were placed into a deep sleep at the bottom of the cloud sea.
- 500 years later Pyra was reawoken and no mention of Mythra was made until she was forced to fight to protect everyone. She was unhappy about being reawoken and, as revealed later, wanted to return to Elysium in order to beg her creator for death.
- A final battle with Malos at the top of the World Tree sees Mythra sacrificing herself to save her friends but later her core crystal glows and she manages to return to live in the new world, with a separate body from Pyra.

Powers
- Mythra is an Aegis, a special kind of Blade. A Blade comes from a core crystal when it resonates with a compatible being; a Driver. Most Blades need their drivers nearby to function at their best but as an Aegis Mythra is different and can fight fine without her driver.
- Blades tend to have special abilities and Mythra is no different. She can control light by using it as a weapon (throwing arrows, blades, beams of light) or moving at nearly light speed. It's actually called light speed in game but it also explains that it's not quite that fast, thanks to science.
- Mythra can see the future using foresight, letting her dodge and predict enemy movements or attacks.
- As a Blade she can regenerate wounds and can use her light as plasma which can function similarly to fire and heat, letting her burn or cook with her hands.
